FOMAS S.p.A. is the headquarters of FOMAS Group, an international industrial company with eight factories located in Italy, France, the United States, China and India. The Group employs around 1,400 people and specializes in the production of forged components, rolled rings and metal powders, consolidating its presence in the main global markets thanks to advanced technical skills and a strong vocation for innovation.<\/p>

Metallurgical expertise, a distinctive feature since the foundation by Professor Gastone Guzzoni \u2013 author of the volume \u201cSpecial and common steels\u201d<\/em> \u2013 constitutes the core of the company's know-how, historically oriented towards the transformation of the raw material into the final component. This technical heritage, although rooted in tradition, constantly evolves through structured research and innovation activities.<\/p>

The adoption of advanced technologies - including specialized software, Business Intelligence tools, digital twins, cloud solutions, big data analysis and Artificial Intelligence applications - supports a Lean approach aimed at reducing waste and optimizing production processes. Structured data management also plays a strategic role in decarbonisation and environmental impact reduction initiatives, both through the introduction of new plants and processes and by making existing ones more efficient.<\/p>

The plant is equipped with a plant park that includes three forging presses and an ESR plant with three remelting stations. A VIM system is currently being installed. There are also ovens dedicated to forging and heat treatment, oil and water quenching tanks, as well as horizontal spray quenching systems. The finishing and mechanical processing operations are carried out using lathes, milling machines and sawing machines, guaranteeing high quality and production standards. The company also has an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory and is able to carry out destructive and non-destructive tests, such as ultrasound.<\/div><\/div>
