Milan, October 22, 2024 – A Memorandum Of Cooperation (MoC) was signed between the Italian Pressure Equipment Association (AIPE) and the Process Plant and Machinery Association of India (PPMAI) during the Italian Critical Process Equipment Days event, held at Pirelli HangarBicocca. This agreement marks the beginning of a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening collaboration between the two associations in the sectors of pressure equipment and process plant machinery.
Objectives of the agreement
The agreement aims to create a platform for the exchange of knowledge, technical expertise and business opportunities for the members of the two associations. The main areas of cooperation include:
- Technical Collaboration: Sharing updates on design codes, standards, and material requirements, as well as joint efforts to harmonize standards.
- Bilateral Networking Forum: organization of periodic meetings in Italy, India or the Middle East, aimed at facilitating industrial collaborations and discussions on industry trends and challenges.
- Sponsorship Opportunities: co-organization of events, seminars and workshops to promote the interest of the two associations.
- Mutual Help Desk: Support for legal and regulatory issues in each other’s markets, to help members navigate local complexities.
A step towards industrial globalization
The agreement reflects the will of AIPE and PPMAI to promote a global approach to the challenges of the industry, enhancing the Italian and Indian know-how to increase international competitiveness.
Paolo Fedeli, president of AIPE, and Abhijit Dani, president of PPMAI, expressed satisfaction for this important milestone, underlining how the MoC represents a unique opportunity to create synergies between the two countries, stimulating innovation and growth in the sector.
