Innovation, collaboration and global development for Italian pressure equipment manufacturers

The Italian Pressure Equipment Association (AIPE) is an entrepreneurial organization that represents the Italian manufacturers operating in the pressure equipment sector and its related industries. These companies have as their object the production of pressure equipment (vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, columns, boilers, reactors, pipes, etc.) for the Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, Energy, Pharmaceutical and Food industries.

The associated companies, located throughout the italian territory, develop a total turnover of around 4 billion euros and employ over 12,000 people. Most of the production, around 90%, is for export.

The Association was founded in Rome on 4 July 2014 by the companies:

The Association was founded in Rome in 2014 with the aim of tackling the main issues affecting the category of pressure equipment manufacturers in a streamlined, effective and rapid manner, not only at a local level but also from a broader, international perspective. The acronym A.I.P.E. (Associazione Italiana Pressure Equipment) in fact recalls its dual purpose, encompassing both the Italian character of the association and terms in English (Pressure Equipment) that evoke an opening at a global level.

The association's model follows three main lines:

  • Political / institutional: in this area, the Presidency / General Management establishes periodic targeted meetings to discuss the different business models and direct the specific resources of each member company towards the most interesting opportunities on the market; the objective is to address and share the challenges of the new market both in legal-regulatory aspects and in reference to customer expectations.
  • Operational: valid technical and commercial support is offered to associated companies, focusing on the cornerstones of innovation, skills and training.
  • Informative: particular attention is paid to informative communication, with the aim of identifying and disseminating the most relevant topics and news in the sector, submitting them to the attention of all members.

Promote the technological, scientific and economic development of the Associates, through active participation and the organization of meetings, events and training activities according to a perspective based on the sharing of resources and information.
