La World Refining Association è entusiasta per l’inizio della 18-esima edizione della conferenza Refining & Petrochemicals CEE e Turchia che si terrà a Budapest, in Ungheria al Sofitel Hotel.
Nel contesto industriale globale della raffinazione, la regione CEE e la Turchia hanno visto un aumento della concorrenza da parte di Medio Oriente, Asia e Stati Uniti. Di conseguenza, la regione preme per aggiornarsi, investire e migliorare la propria efficienza.
Gli ultimi anni sono stati difficoltosi per la regione CEE, tuttavia, si intravedono buone notizie all’orizzonte. Mentre tutti i riflettori sono puntati sulla Turchia per i principali investimenti e i nuovi progetti, aziende come la MOL, che sta aprendo la strada ad investimenti su una serie di progetti petrolchimici, sull’energia e sull’efficienza operativa, non vanno di certo trascurate.
L’eccellenza operativa è fondamentale nell’attuale contesto orientato alla massimizzazione dei margini di profitto, ed il calo del prezzo del petrolio dovrebbe essere utilizzato come un’opportunità per attuare miglioramenti fondamentali. Di estrema importanza è il raggiungimento dell’efficienza energetica attraverso l’ ammodernamento delle tecnologie e delle attrezzature.
E’ in questo contesto che il 18-esimo Summit su Petrolchimico e Raffinazione nelle regioni CEE e Turchia è stato specificamente pianificato per fornire agli operatori dei settori della raffinazione e petrolchimico una piattaforma per condividere conoscenza, competenze e best practices, puntando verso l’eccellenza operativa e l’efficienza energetica in un periodo in cui i margini operativi sono estremamente ristretti.
Oltre 150 importanti rappresentanti di raffinerie, impianti petrolchimici, esperti di tecnologia e fornitori di servizi si riuniranno per affrontare gli ultimi sviluppi di progetti, piani di investimento e strategie di business future per la crescita nella regione CEE.

In the context of the global refining industry, the CEE and turkey region are being increasingly challenged by competition from the Middle East, Asia and USA. As a consequence, the region is under pressure to invest, update and improve efficiency.
The past years has seen difficulties for the CEE region, but good news is on the horizon. Whilst all eyes are on Turkey for leading investments and new projects, companies such as MOL should not be overlooked as being among those leading the way in the CEE region in terms of investing in its downstream portfolios with a series of Petrochemical projects, as well as energy and operational efficiency initiatives.
Operational excellence is key in the current climate to maximise profit margins and the oil price drop should be used as an opportunity to implement fundamental improvements. Energy efficiency throught modernization of technology and equipment is also crucial.
It is against this backdrop that the 18th CEE and Turkey Refining and Petrochemical Summit has been specifically designed to provide operators from the refining and petrochemical industry a platform to share insight, expertise and best practices, and look towards operational excellence and energy efficiency in a time of extremely tight operating margins.
Over 150 senior representatives from refineries, petrochemical plants, technology and service providers will gather to hear latest project developments and investment plans and future business strategies for growth in the CEE region.
The event would be a precious occasion for AIPE members thanks to the opportunity to meet and exchange business cards with the attendees and to receive critical opinion and analysis through panel discussions and roundtables including: “the future of refining and petrochemicals in the region and the role of the EU, oil price perspectives and the future plans for operational excellence in the region”.
